Reconcile the weight of a feed delivery

Calculate a load from two weighings and compare it with the delivery note.

Check your understanding

Find gross and tare

Match the date, vehicle and units on the two tickets for one delivery. Subtract the empty vehicle weight from the loaded weight. Keep both readings alongside the amount on the delivery note.

Try it yourself

Use four fields: gross, tare, net by subtraction and stated delivery weight. If the weights differ, flag the difference and check the records.

Worked example

A truck weighs 7,420 kg loaded and 5,010 kg after unloading. Net feed is 2,410 kg. The note lists 2,500 kg: a 90 kg discrepancy. These figures alone do not explain the difference.
